Super Saturdays! - National Park Service Ranger Program
National Park Service Ranger Program
In two sessions in July and as part of the Orchard at Altapass SUPER SATURDAYS!, the Junior Ranger program will give kids and families the opportunity to uniquely learn about their national parks, and how they can help protect them today and into the future. All kids will learn to take the Junior Rangers motto of, "Explore, Learn and Protect," to heart and have fun while learning about and experiences our natural environment ... at the Orchard. It's all FREE. Parents are welcome. All materials provided by the orchard.
And when the class is over, parents and kids can hike one of the ten walking trails around the Orchard and check out the General Store.
The Orchard at Altapass is located at 1025 Orchard Road in Spruce Pine, mile marker 328.3 on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Open from 10 to 5PM, Wednesday-Sunday through October.
