    Emerald Village ROCK FEST

It's the highlight of the season at Emerald Village, with lots of FREE activities and fun for all ages.  There will also be a spectacular blacklight tour after dark on Saturday, and a rare brass, pies, and drums performance in the tent - an experience not to be missed!

Mine Tours, Gem Mining, Gold Panning, Discovery Mill, & Mineral Collecting all day both days beginning at 9:00 AM!

On 5:00 PM Saturday, June 15th,  Emerald Village will welcome the Blue Ridge Brass, Pipes, and Drums for a rare special performance in the tent. This group has performed together for over 25 years, and some of their diverse venues range from playing at ancient Castles in Scotland, 25+ years at the Grandfather Mountain Highland Games, Arlington Cemetery, the National Marine Museum, several performances in the National Cathedral, and a special appearance on the Millennium Stage at the Kennedy Center in Washington DC! As guardians and performers of Scottish and Gaelic music, the group appropriately wears the Grandfather Mountain Highland Games kilts and full Scottish regalia. We invite you to wear your kilt and join us! The kilt is optional, but if you’re not going to wear one, please wear something else! The program will feature rousing numbers like you’ve never heard before. The pipes and drums are awesome, and blending with a full brass band creates a unique, exciting sound.  The performance is free to the public and begins promptly at 5:00 PM.
